内容简介:
This talk will introduce the topic of traffic simulation, briefly
discussing the various types of traffic models. It will focus on
performance enhancements to a mesoscopic city-scale traffic simulator,
based on DynaMIT, a dynamic traffic assignment simulation developed by
MIT, and currently being used in the Future Urban Mobility project in
Singapore. The performance enhancements include framework, serial and
parallel optimisations. The improvements include data structural
changes, algorithm improvements and speeding up execution through the
use of general purpose processing units (GPUs).

Gary Tan,新加坡国立大学计算机学院副教授,SMART(新加坡-麻省理工联合研究所)项目负责人,主管学生工作的副院长(Vice Dean of Student Life),新加坡仿真学会(SSAG)主席,亚洲仿真学会联盟(ASIASIM)理事会成员。在ACM Transactions on Modelling
and Simulation上发表10余篇论文。目前主要研究方向包括危机管理共生仿真框架、并行/可扩展交通仿真和仿真模型可组合性等。
